Everyone's glued to Bitcoin, watching it dance around the 100-day moving average like it's the only game in town. (Spoiler: it's not). Okay, the added trading volume—3.5 million BTC, a 15% increase—is what shouts out institutional volatility. And no, the fact that AI tokens like SingularityNET (AGIX) and Fetch.AI (FET) are getting punished along with BTC doesn’t instill confidence. But here's the thing: the market's evolving. Bitcoin dominance, while still significant, is fading.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Okay, Deniz, great theory, but where's the beef?" Which altcoins are actually worth a damn? I can’t tell you what to invest in, but here are a handful that I have my eyes on.

  • Layer-2 Scaling Solutions: Coins like Arbitrum (ARB) and Optimism (OP) are building the infrastructure for a more scalable Ethereum. As Ethereum adoption grows, so will the demand for these solutions.
  • Decentralized Storage: Filecoin (FIL) and Arweave (AR) are revolutionizing data storage. In an age of increasing data breaches and censorship, decentralized storage is becoming increasingly critical.
  • Privacy Coins: Monero (XMR) and Zcash (ZEC) offer enhanced privacy features. As governments and corporations increasingly monitor our online activity, privacy coins are gaining traction.
